when i read in my mission packet that i was allowed to bring "closed-toe sandals," i thought "yeah i think in america they call that a shoe. a closed-toe sandal is impossible." doubt not, fear not, amy hansen. urban outfitters will provide.
Try looking at Keens. They all have these obnoxious big rubber toe things. Very ugly. You'll never stub a toe. You can probably kick any sorta thing. Which might not be good for you because in my mind I can see you getting frustrated and kicking whatever rock or dog is in your path. My bet is that you get to Tahiti and find out that Sisters are allowed to have Chacos, or equivalent. Great soles and less temptation to kick dogs!
