i'm definitely not having visions of sugarplums...

so apparently i talk in my sleep. a lot. like pretty much every night. my roommate will give me reports each morning about what i did and said. usually it involves me laughing out loud in my sleep, which is pretty creepy if you think about it. imagine you're sleeping, it's the middle of the night, it's dark, and you're kind of out of it. all the sudden you hear someone laughing. CREEPY. yeah. i guess i'm a creeper. i also have full-on conversations, sit up in my bed, and turn lamps on and off.

according to webmd.com, causes of sleep-talking are...

Other things that can cause sleep talking include:

* certain medications
* emotional stress
* fever
* mental health disorder
* substance abuse

i'm pretty sure i'm not on any medication, i don't have a mental health disorder, i'm not currently abusing any substances, and the only cure for the fever i've got is more cowbell. that leaves emotional stress. which makes sense, since my life is currently at the mercy of school and work.

anyway, the point is: i'm a crazy person when i sleep. aaaand maybe when i'm awake. the jury is still out on that one.

My little brother and sister did that all summer long. They even had conversations!

i can submit that it is definitely the creepiest thing ever having heard your laughing very often. but it makes for good stories and blog posts.

maybe it runs in the fam? When I would get stressed about student teaching, I would sit up at night (in my sleep) and give whole lessons. Or so Jared says.
